Processing Corporate Actions is a critical component of operations that often includes manual processing steps that can result in errors and inaccurate positions and balances. This course explores current processing practices, the common control gaps and alternatives that can reduce errors and improve the reporting accuracy.
This inter-active one-day training course provides participants with insight into why, in this age of automation, corporate action processing is still a manual process. We begin with examining the drivers that create corporate action events, then to a review of event types and then onto following the typical event lifecycle processing steps.
Throughout the program we identify typical problem areas and discuss real-world work-around or long-term solutions that participants can take back to their firm as potential enhancements to their internal processing. Participants are also encouraged to share their perspective, typical difficulties and their experience in meeting the challenges of processing corporate actions.
