Maureen Lowe (formerly Nolan), is the President and Founder of Financial Technologies Forum, LLC. She founded the company in 2006 from her Hoboken apartment (but could often be spotted at the local Panera Bread for the free coffee refills) but soon moved into Manhattan offices. Maureen is responsible for new business development and overseeing operations of her growing company. She graduated from The College of New Jersey (f/k/a Trenton State) in 2001 with a B.A. in Communications. Maureen fell into the small world of financial technology while working for a boutique M&A and research firm that specialized in financial and energy software companies. She further refined her expertise in financial technology and events planning after working in both PR and conference planning in the fintech space.
Maureen recently got married in Maui, HI, the midpoint for her husband’s New Zealand based family and the East Coast. While she currently resides in the great Borough of Brooklyn, she is a Jersey girl at heart. Aside from starting a business before the age of 30, Maureen loves to bake (and often bakes for clients - hint, hint), read inspirational business books, and explore Manhattan on foot.
Sarah Hathaway is the Conference Director at Financial Technologies Forum, LLC. She’s been with the company since 2007 and now oversees operations for all events and training seminars while supporting the President in business development and managing proprietary client events. With a degree in Marketing from Quinnipiac University, her focus has always been on event planning. Prior to joining the FTF team, Sarah began her career in sports event management as the Marketing and Expo Coordinator for the 2006 Buick Championship at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut where she was responsible for managing all on-site corporate sponsorships for the tournament.
Sarah often spends her free time staying up-to-date on all things related to event planning, thanks to the latest event and design blogs. She spends most of her time between her native Rhode Island and Brooklyn, NY where she currently resides.
Caitlin Collins is the Conference Coordinator at Financial Technologies Forum, LLC, and began her position at the company this past April. Caitlin is responsible for inviting and coordinating speakers for all FTF annual conferences and breakfast briefings, confirming and coordinating all sponsors and managing all other logistics. She also runs the company’s live and eLearning training courses. Caitlin graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2009 with a B.A in Communications and Journalism. After graduating she moved back to her hometown in New Jersey and began her job hunt in the field of Public Relations, but fell into the world of event planning after meeting FTF President, Maureen Lowe, through her former boss.
In Caitlin’s free time, she enjoys attending a variety of concert series and rooting for her alumni, the UConn Huskies.
Karen Mack is our registrar and is responsible for making sure everyone is paid up on time and getting all the necessary receipts and invoices out while always keeping the FTF books balanced to the penny. She also handles a lot of incoming inquiries and supports the President in HR tasks.
Karen sets the tone at FTF for her remarkable customer service which does not go unnoticed by clients and we certainly can't overlook her particular attention to detail. Not one blog post or marketing email goes out without a scan from her careful eye! Not only is Karen an employee of FTF, but she is also the President’s mother (yes, you read that right).
