The move is intended to expand the bitcoin trading capabilities of Blockstream Capital Partners.
A group of Bitcoin investors, Blockstream Capital Partners (BCP), has acquired a digital asset trading and investment business from investment firm Numeus Group, officials say. The move is intended to expand BCP’s bitcoin trading and yield generation capabilities.
Founded in 2021, Numeus Group is a digital asset investment firm and has been led by a team of institutional traditional finance and blockchain experts “with a team of 33 today across Switzerland, New York, London, and Mauritius,” officials say. “Its asset management division, Forteus, offers absolute-return and directional strategies under an FCA-regulated framework and maintains a strategic partnership with Schroders plc.”
The acquisition builds upon BCP’s December 2025 acquisition of Corbiere Capital Management.
“The transaction includes the absorption of select bitcoin-focused trading strategies with a focus on yield generation as well as a 10-person derivatives trading team led by Chief Investment Officer Deepak Gulati, a specialist in volatility and derivatives markets,” according to the announcement. “The transaction is aligned with BCP’s broader strategy to develop a premier institutional platform for digital asset trading, yield generation, and structured solutions.”
Officials add that Gulati has been appointed co-chief investment officer of Blockstream Capital Management alongside Rodrigo Rodriguez, who ran Corbiere Capital Management, a Jersey, U.K.-based equities hedge fund.
With the acquisition, BCP intends to deliver:
- Yield-enhancing derivatives strategies for Bitcoin treasury, including corporate or Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) treasuries, asset-management, and corporate clients;
- An execution infrastructure with embedded market risk solutions designed to support institutional-grade trading of bitcoin and operational oversight.
In addition, Komainu, a provider of corporate support, exchange connectivity, collateral management, and custodial services, reports that it “played an integral role in this transaction,” officials say.
Numeus Group officials say they will be collaborating with BCP in the future.
