BlackRock and Adroit have signed a multi-year partnership to help clients connect to Adroit’s execution capabilities via Aladdin.
Asset management giant BlackRock and Adroit Trading Technologies have launched a partnership that will help clients of BlackRock’s Aladdin platform access the multi-asset execution management offerings of Adroit, officials say.
“This partnership allows mutual clients to access Adroit’s execution management capabilities from the Aladdin platform, helping streamline the trading experience and improve operational efficiency,” according to the announcement.
Described as a central processing system for investment management, Aladdin “integrates and connects functions that help manage money,” which encompasses portfolio management, securities trading, compliance, operations, and risk oversight, according to BlackRock.
The partnership is in response to the changing trading landscape, especially for over-the-counter (OTC) products that are experiencing “electronification, an explosion in the number of electronic liquidity providers, a proliferation of trading protocols, and innovation in risk-transfer instruments such as portfolio trading,” officials say.
“For many years, I have greatly admired the scale and comprehensiveness of the Aladdin platform, and over time I have come to know the passionate, high-integrity, and customer-focused team behind it,” says Anil Jaglan, CEO of Adroit, in a prepared statement.
Adroit offers the institutional buy-side an ‘all-in-one platform for everything trading and trading-adjacent across fixed income, currencies, and OTC derivatives,” officials say.
The unified trader workstation offers:
- Order capture and intelligent routing;
- Market data and liquidity aggregation;
- Aggregated and normalized market data from all of a client’s sources in a single view;
- OMS, venue, and system connectivity;
- Integrations with OMSes, trading venues, dealers, and internal systems that are managed from one place;
- End-to-end workflow automation; and
- Friction mitigation across the trading lifecycle from pre-trade through post-trade and reconciliation.
