About the Event

Thursday, January 28, 2021 • 10 AM EDT / 3pm BST

As firms embrace 2021, there will be opportunities to refine their regulatory reporting strategies. This webinar will focus on major regulatory regimes and the maze of deadlines ahead. The session will also provide insight into how to optimize resources to manage requirements complicated by the ripple effects of the global pandemic.

Ultimately, there is a through-line for meeting the matrix of regulatory requirements across all assets — establishing transaction data accuracy. But getting to accuracy and its benefits has never been an easy task. In fact, as firms face several compliance fronts with separate data-related requirements, they will find that their resources will be tested as bottom-line and external pressures increase.

Specific Reporting Regimes

  • On the European Front: What are some best practices that can help global firms navigate the fluctuations of Brexit, and the MiFID/EMIR requirements?
  • How can firms streamline their multi-jurisdictional reporting to make it more cost effective?
  • MAS: What are the next steps for firms outside of Singapore but still in scope?
  • CAT: How are industry error rates looking now and what should firms be focusing on for the next set of deadlines? How are firms going to manage the more complex scenarios to come in 2021?

Extenuating Circumstances

  • What external conditions might cause firms to rethink and adjust their reporting agendas over the course of 2021?
  • How will firms maintain their reporting priorities if a pandemic-induced economic downturn leads to staff reductions? How will firms work around potential interruptions in reporting?
  • What lessons learned from remote regulatory reporting can help other high-priority, data-intensive agendas that firms will face in 2021 and beyond?

Fixing an Array of Problems

  • How can firms leverage their regulatory reporting experiences to bring new efficiencies to other operations despite constrained times?
  • How are firms organizing internal teams to respond to specific reporting requirements?
  • How feasible is it for firms to repair an array of data quality issues as a result of resolving regulatory reporting problems?
  • How can firms do a better job of sharing clean and repaired data across the enterprise?
