Bill Murray is an Executive Director in the US Operations division of Nomura Securities International, a leading Japanese Broker-Dealer, based in New York. Bill brings 18+ years of operational risk and internal control management experience in the financial services industry to his current role as Head of the US Operations Control Group. In this role, Bill is responsible for the independent control oversight of the division including the reconciliation, risk management, control metrics & reporting, regulatory reporting & validation, KYC/AML client account approval, regulatory oversight, and quality assurance functions. Prior to joining Nomura in 2012, Bill spent two and half years at RBC Capital Markets as the Director of Internal Controls for Finance implementing a regional balance sheet account verification / attestation program and a global account attestation training program for the organization. Bill has also held a variety of leadership roles in financial control, operational risk, and internal audit at JP Morgan Chase, HSBC, Lehman Brothers, and Barclays Capital. Bill received his MBA in Strategy and Finance from the Yale School of Management and his BS in Finance and Accounting from Boston College.
