Gerard Rose is a managing director for BNY Mellon and is the head of U.S. Tax Services in our Global Product Management team. Gerard has over 20 years’ experience in investment entity taxation with a focus on partnerships, including hedge fund, private equity and real estate entities. He is responsible for the development of tax products and services for the U.S. market. Previously at BNY Mellon, Gerard oversaw the global tax function within the Alternative Investment Services business. In this role, Gerard was responsible for developing Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA)/Common Reporting Standards (CRS) services, among other regulatory support projects.
He began his career working in public accounting at Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG and Weiser LLP. After working for some of the top 4 accounting firms, he worked at CIBC in their corporate tax group. He then transitioned to fund administration and oversaw tax services at Bisys/Citi Private Equity Services.
Gerard holds a J.D. from Touro Law Center and is admitted to the New York State Bar.
