The Canadian firm will be using Axioma’s equity and fixed income factor risk models, and portfolio optimization.
Independent asset management firm Fiera Capital, based in Montreal, Quebec, has become a client of SimCorp’s Axioma Risk and Axioma Portfolio Optimizer because they offer “equity and fixed income factor risk models” aligned with the firm’s investment strategies, officials say.
Officials note that Axioma Risk and Axioma Portfolio Optimizer are core components of the enterprise investment management suite offered by SimCorp, which is a subsidiary of Deutsche Börse Group. The provider targets these offerings to institutional asset managers, hedge funds, wealth managers, and banks looking for risk management, performance attribution, and quantitative portfolio construction solutions.
The Axioma Risk cloud-native risk management system offers risk analytics and enhanced portfolio construction “that helps investment teams identify sources of risk and return,” officials say. The Axioma Risk fixed income factor risk models include Canada-focused offerings, regional North American models, and granular fixed income risk modelling.
Axioma Portfolio Optimizer, which is portfolio optimization software, supports a wide range of investment approaches such actively managed, index-tracking, tax-aware, long-short, sustainable portfolios, asset allocation, and fixed income.
“Fiera Capital’s vision is to be the partner of choice for clients seeking performance and the home of people who deliver it,” according to the announcement. “The addition of the Axioma Portfolio Optimizer aims to support this goal by helping investment teams construct and optimize portfolios more efficiently while aligning investment decisions with client-specific objectives and constraints.”
Axioma “provides a centralized and scalable analytics framework, enabling Fiera Capital’s portfolio managers and risk teams to work from a common understanding of portfolio risks and opportunities,” says Allen Zimmerman, senior managing director and head of Americas at SimCorp, in a prepared statement.
