The firm will use an integrated platform for front-to-back investment management.
Chicago-based investment firm Hunter Capital Management (HCM) reports that it has gone live with INDATA’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) integrated platform for front, middle, and back-office investment management operations.
In particular, the firm will be using the INDATA platform to support portfolio accounting, trading, reporting, and operational workflows and is replacing its previous vendor solution, officials say.
“Selecting the right investment management software partner was important for improving operational efficiency and enhancing our investment process,” says Richard Rovetto, chief compliance officer at Hunter Capital Management, in a prepared statement. “INDATA’s integrated investment management platform and modern system architecture were compelling as was their commitment to providing personalized client service.”
An employee-owned investment firm, HCM, has “roots tracing back more than four decades through the legacy of Perkins Investment Management,” officials say. “The firm oversees more than $1 billion in assets under custody on behalf of individuals, families, corporations, and foundations, supported by a team with over 100 years of combined investment experience.”
INDATA provides managed outsourcing services for buy-side firms, including trade order management (OMS), portfolio management, compliance, portfolio accounting, and front-to-back office operations.
HCM was established in 2020 by the founders of Perkins Investment Management, who have been actively managing U.S. Small Cap, Mid Cap, and All Cap Value strategies for over 40 years, officials say. With peak AUM of more than $20 billion, Perkins Investment Management was purchased by Janus Henderson in 2014.
