For this FTF Exchange podcast, Lisa Iagatta, chair of ISITC, previews FTF News about the cutting-edge issues that ISITC will be focusing on during ISITC Week.
In 2020, many financial services industry conferences and related events have had to transition quickly to a virtual environment because of the pandemic. This has come with new benefits and challenges as ISITC, a securities industry standards group, is learning.
For this FTF Exchange podcast, Lisa Iagatta, chair of ISITC, tells FTF News about the cutting-edge issues that ISITC will be focusing on during ISITC Week, which will be a virtual gathering that starts Monday, September 14, and continues until September 17.
Key ISITC panel discussions will tackle diversity, inclusion, and equality in financial services; what the environmental, social and governance (ESG) push from investors could mean for post-trade operations; and the role that derivatives could play in the new world of crypto-assets.
In the podcast, Iagatta also covers about the challenges of creating a virtual event that used to be conventional and in-person.
FTF News a media partner of ISITC and will cover the key issues coming from the weeklong event.
The ISITC acronym refers to the International Securities Association for Institutional Trade Communication, which states that it “brings together investment managers, broker dealers, custodians, utilities and technology vendors to develop and promote standards and best practices that increase operational efficiencies across the securities industry, enabling member companies to provide essential and enhanced products and services.”
The group was founded in 1991.
