BNP Paribas Securities Services recently released a set of 17 application programming interfaces (APIs) for its fund administration business, a move intended to change the way the firm communicates with its asset manager clients, officials say. The bank has standardized these APIs to ISO 20022 for interoperability across platforms.
“This new catalogue of 17 fund accounting APIs automatically updates clients’ systems with information specific to their business held by BNP Paribas Securities Services,” according to bank officials. “This information includes datasets such as NAV calculations and distribution, and settlement instructions and status. Clients are also able to post information, such as NAV validation, directly in BNP Paribas Securities Services’ systems.”
Philippe Ruault, head of digital transformation, member of the executive committee, BNP Paribas Securities Services, spoke with FTF News during the SIBOS exhibition and conference in London this past September.
