NRI accepting their award for “Best Cutting-Edge Solution” at the 2025 FTF News Awards.
NRI is exploring artificial intelligence (A.I.) and hopes to apply cutting-edge technology to the back-office and other services it provides, says Yohei Sawai, head of securities solution division, NRI America, in a recent FTF News video interview.
NRI won the 2025 FTF News Technology Innovation Award for Best Cutting-Edge Solution for the NRI I-STAR/GX Swift Business Connect, which offers financial services firms a direct connection to the Swift financial messaging environment.
“So, we are now developing the NRI financial A.I. platform. So, it’s established for the financial institutions to safely use A.I. such as the large language model for sales activity, compliance, and back-office support,” Sawai says. Development efforts are underway in America and in Japan and will feature strong data security and privacy features, he adds.
During the interview, Sawai also spoke about:
- How the I-STAR/GX line of offerings have been received in the U.S. and other North American markets;
- NRI’s partnership with BetaNXT and what is on the horizon for the duo for 2025 and beyond; and
- The NRI Legacy Lift Lab and how is it helping clients modernize their legacy IT infrastructures.
